Why choose Electronics?

Would you like to help develop technologies that make a difference for people and the climate? With a BEng in Electronics, you will help design, test and manage electronic systems – from motor control in electric vehicles to intelligent sensors, robotics and green energy technologies.

Electronics is for you if…

  • You will build the technology of the future using your own ideas
  • You will open doors to an international career in high demand
  • You are guaranteed your first job after completing your master’s degree

What will you learn?

On the BEng electronics engineering programme in Sønderborg, you will combine strong technical understanding with hands-on project work. You will learn how to design and programme electronic circuits and systems – and how to make electronics work in real life, even when they need to last for years and function in demanding environments.

You will gain a solid foundation in both analogue and digital electronics, signal processing, high-frequency technology and electric motors. Mathematics plays an important role, especially in the early part of the programme, where you learn to use mathematical methods to understand and develop electronics. You will work closely with your fellow students on projects each semester – for instance building smart homes, testing motors, or developing drone control and sensor solutions.

Throughout the programme, you will build experience in developing, improving and testing electronic systems, and you will learn to ensure they meet applicable standards and requirements. You will also gain insight into project management and interdisciplinary collaboration – skills highly sought after in the industry.

Teaching methods

During the programme, you will work extensively in project groups, where you and your fellow students will solve problems for companies through case-based work. Each semester is based on a main theme, and in the sixth semester you will complete a six-month internship either in Denmark or abroad.

Student/teacher testimonial
