Life as a Medicinal Chemistry student
As a master’s student, you are already familiar with the everyday life and routines of university study, yet you will still encounter new expectations and fresh challenges.
On the master’s programme in Medicinal Chemistry, you have considerable freedom to plan your study time; however, being a student remains a full‑time commitment. Even if your weekly schedule is not filled with taught classes, you should expect to spend at least as many hours on independent study and preparation.
Societies and events
As a master’s student in Medicinal Chemistry, you are automatically a member of ÆTER, a student association for all students enrolled in programmes connected to the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy.
ÆTER has a cosy common room where you are welcome to relax on the soft sofas between classes, enjoy a free game of table football or a free cup of coffee, or quench your thirst with a cold soft drink for five kroner. You can also use the room for group work, although in ÆTER, comfort and a friendly atmosphere always come first.
