Life as a Computational Biomedicine student
As a master’s student, you are already familiar with the everyday life and routines of university study, yet you will still encounter new expectations and fresh challenges.
On the master’s programme in Computational Biomedicine, you have considerable freedom to plan your study time; however, being a student remains a full‑time commitment. Even if your weekly schedule is not filled with taught classes, you should expect to spend at least as many hours on independent study and preparation.
Societies and events
As a Computational Biomedicine student, you can join Cellebiologisk Forening Odense (CFO) – a student society for everyone enrolled in programmes connected to the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. This includes Biomedicine, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Computational Biomedicine.
CFO provides the framework for a strong academic and social community across programmes and year groups. Students meet for study groups, academic talks, social events, and parties. In the society’s common room, students read, prepare for classes, and take breaks – and you will quickly have the chance to get to know your fellow students well.

First days as a student at Computational Biomedicine
In Odense, you can also participate in the semester start party in September, which kicks off the academic year with a bang.
