Note: The Software Engineering programme is also offered in Sønderborg and Vejle, where the teaching is conducted in English.

Why choose Software Engineering?

Software is the digital infrastructure that keeps society running – from everyday apps to the large IT systems used in healthcare, banking and the energy grid.

As a software engineer, you become one of the people who do not just use technology, but create it. You learn to build digital solutions that shape the way we live, work and communicate in the future, and you will therefore be in high demand on the labour market.

Software Engineering is for you if you…

  • want to work with what lies under the bonnet of almost all modern technology
  • want to develop innovative solutions to specific problems
  • want strong career opportunities in both Denmark and abroad

What will you learn?

On the programme, you learn to develop software that suits the people and organisations that need it. You become skilled at analysing needs and finding solutions, and you gain competences in designing, programming, testing and implementing software – both from scratch and as further development of existing systems.

You also gain insight into how artificial intelligence and data can be used to create more intelligent and efficient digital solutions.

You do not need to know how to programme in advance. There is an introductory course that prepares you from the start.

Teaching methods

Teaching combines theory and practice, and you work in project groups on real-world problems, often in collaboration with companies. You learn to collaborate across disciplines and cultures and become equipped to work in an international context.
