Astronomy and gravity

Research in astronomy seeks to understand the universe as a whole and the astronomical object in it such as black holes, stars and planets. A cornerstone for obtaining this understanding is gravity which holds some of the most profound ridles in fundamental physics.

The High Energy Theory Group at University of Southern Denmark consists of faculty, post-docs, graduate students and affiliates. Basic research within nanosciences leads to a fundamental understanding of structures and dynamics at the nanoscale which is converted into innovative devices via nanotechnology.

Nanostructured materials give rise to nanostructured optical fields that, being involved in many fascinating phenomena studied in nanoscience and effects used in nanotechnology, are the core subject of nano optics.
