SDU Center for Energy Informatics Leads Nordic Energy Informatics Academy Conference and Summer School in 2025

Stockholm, Sweden – August 18-22, 2025 The University of Southern Denmark (SDU), through its SDU Center for Energy Informatics, is proud to have led two flagship initiatives under the Nordic Energy Informatics Academy (EIA Nordic) this year: the EIA Nordic Conference 2025 and the EIA Nordic Summer School on Smart Buildings 2025.

As the coordinating institution of the EIA Nordic project, SDU works in close collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), the University of Iceland (Iceland), and the Arctic University of Norway (Norway) to strengthen research and education in energy informatics across the Nordic region.

The EIA Nordic Conference 2025 gathered leading researchers, industry experts, and students to share and discuss the latest advances in energy informatics. The event was led by Professor Bo Nørregaard Jørgensen (General Chair) and Associate Professor Zheng Grace Ma (Program Chair and Publication Chair), whose leadership ensured a high-quality scientific program and strong dissemination of research outcomes.

Alongside the conference, SDU also spearheaded the EIA Nordic Summer School on Smart Buildings 2025, offering graduate students and early-career researchers an intensive learning experience. Both Professor Jørgensen and Professor Ma played key roles in the organizing committee, contributing to the academic content and smooth execution of the summer school.

Together, these initiatives highlight SDU’s commitment to fostering international collaboration, educating the next generation of energy informatics experts, and advancing innovation in sustainable energy systems.
