Right now, the research project ‘Moving Denmark’ at the University of Southern Denmark is conducting the largest survey ever on physical activity in Denmark. We need your help to create an accurate picture of physical activity habits across the country.
This is why your answers are important:
You are one of the few in your age group in your specific municipality who has been randomly selected. Therefore, your answers are essential to represent your local area in this important national survey. The survey includes all forms of physical activity, such as gardening, sports, cleaning, and walking. You will also be asked about the opportunities for physical activity in your local area, as well as your health and life satisfaction.
Your answers are important whether you are very active or not, and they will be treated with strict confidentiality. Only with your help can we get an accurate picture of the physical activity habits of the Danish population.

What will your answers be used for?
In 2020, more than 163,000 people responded to the survey when it was first conducted. This allowed us to provide an accurate picture of physical activity habits in each municipality, and every municipality received a report (in Danish) with the results. You can also see the results in the Data on Physical Activity database (in Danish).
The survey is used, among other things, when municipalities work to create better opportunities for residents to be active – for example, by creating better paths to green areas or by making sports halls more accessible to more people.
A wide range of associations and organizations also use the Moving Denmark survey as a data foundation when developing new initiatives.
Moving Denmark is supported by the Nordea Foundation.
