Smart Cooling and Heating Group

The Smart Cooling and Heating Group Â鶹ÉçÇø develops innovative, energy-efficient thermal technologies through advanced modelling, experimental research, and intelligent control. Our work focuses on sustainable cooling and heating systems, high-temperature heat pumps, and the integration of waste-heat recovery and renewable energy sources into district heating and industrial applications. We design and optimize thermal energy storage solutions, develop dynamic models of vapor compression and transcritical COâ‚‚ systems, and create smart control strategies to reduce operating costs and enhance system flexibility. By combining state-of-the-art laboratory facilities with data-driven optimization, the group delivers practical, cost-effective solutions for future low-carbon energy systems.
