The Circumpolar Health Research Network

The network was established in 2012 as a merger of two international circumpolar health organizations: the International Network for Circumpolar Health Research (INCHR) and the International Association of Circumpolar Health Publishers (IACHP).

Purpose

The network was established with the aim of promoting collaboration among researchers, supporting the exchange, communication, and dissemination of findings and data within Arctic health research, as well as fostering education and the development of early-career researchers in the field of Arctic health.

Today, the network’s primary objective is the publication of the journal . The journal is open access, and subscriptions are available.

The network’s Board of Directors convenes four times annually. The members of the Board are: 

  • President: Head of Research, Professor Christina Viskum Lytken Larsen, University of Southern Denmark
  • Vice president: Professor of Internal Medicine Pamela Orr, University of Manitoba
  • Member: Professor in Arctic Research Arja Marjatta Rautio, University of Oulu
  • Member: MD, PhD hc Gert Mulvad, University of Greenland
  • Member: MA, MD Alain Maurice Beaudry, University of Manitoba
