This report examines how media policy and regulatory experts across the Nordic–Baltic region perceive algorithmic content recommendation, highlighting its implications for democracy, information integrity and citizens’ rights in an increasingly digitalised media environment. Drawing on in-depth interviews with experts from eight countries, the study maps perceived benefits, risks and possible policy responses, offering a timely contribution to current debates on digital governance. The report is the result of research conducted as part of the DDC × TrygFonden Fellowship Programme and prepared by Fellow researcher Guna Spurava, PhD, in close cooperation with her DDC supervisor, Professor Arjen van Dalen.
