B-SHAPES held its final conference Narratives of Europe in Uncertain Times in Warsaw on 5-6 March 2026
About 100 registered participants from most European countries, Morocco and the US, presented the latest research on borders, borderlands and narratives about Europe in general in about 70 presentations. Many promising young researchers had the opportunity to present their research, demonstrating the timely relevance of B-SHAPES and our sister project NARDIV, as well as the prospects of further exciting research on how Europe, and especially European borderlands, will tackle the challenges of the future.
