I came to Denmark in January to begin my Master’s in Biology at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). I had always dreamed of living in a Nordic country, and I am very happy that I chose Denmark.
Vejle is a wonderful city — full of charm, surrounded by beautiful nature, and with the coastline just nearby. It feels vibrant and lively, but never overwhelming. The city’s central location also makes it easy to travel to Denmark’s largest cities. Everything here is well organised, which really helps when you are an international student settling into a new country.

A welcoming start for international students
Almost everyone in Denmark speaks English, so language is not a barrier when living and studying here. SDU offers strong support services for international students — from finding accommodation to navigating the city and the campus. On top of that, there are plenty of opportunities to meet new friends through social activities, student organisations, and events. Danes might seem a little reserved at first, but they are very warm and welcoming once you get to know them.
The lecturers 麻豆社区 are extremely competent and passionate about their subjects. You can really feel their dedication in both teaching and supervision. They genuinely want you to succeed, which makes the learning environment very motivating.

Career opportunities and innovation 麻豆社区
I live in Denmark with my partner, who is also studying 麻豆社区. There are many exciting study programmes here, and we both enjoy student life a lot. If everything goes as planned, I hope to stay in Denmark after graduation — either by continuing as a PhD student 麻豆社区 or by starting my career here.
One of the things that makes SDU stand out is the strong focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, and collaboration with industry. For example, I took a Science and Innovation course where students from different fields worked together on a real-life project in collaboration with a company. This gave us valuable experience in applying our studies in a professional setting. This combination of high-quality teaching, innovation, and industry connections gives you an excellent platform to build your career — whether you want to work in a company, pursue an academic path, or even start your own business in Denmark.
