With the vacant seat scheme, you can apply for one or more of the hundreds of courses offered annually in SDU's bachelor's and master's degree programs.

To be admitted through the scheme, there must be vacant seats in the class, and you must meet the admission requirements for the program the course is part of. When you study under the vacant seat scheme, you are subject to the same academic regulations as full-time students in the program the course belongs to.

The cost of studying under the vacant seat scheme depends on the scope of the course (ECTS) and the program it is part of. 

The guest student scheme gives you access to the latest research-based knowledge and the opportunity to immerse yourself and acquire new skills. When you attend and pass a course, you receive certification of what you have learned with an exam certificate.

You can attend a single class or several; for instance, you can study an entire minor subject if you are a high school teacher and wish to gain teaching qualifications in a new field.
