Toke Marstrand Pontoppidan Lindhard has been a PhD student in POLIMA since December 2025, under the guidance of prof. P. André D. Gonçalves.
Took took his Bachelor´s degree in Denmark at Aarhus University, where he focused on theoretical fundamental physics, writing his Bachelor´s thesis on renormalization of Abelian gauge theories. For his master’s degree he continued at Aarhus University, taking a special interest in the theory of quantum topology, and writing his master’s thesis on simulations of Chern insulators and edge-state injection under the guidance of prof. Anne E. B. Nielsen. This has since led to research on projective measurements for many-body systems. During his master’s degree, Toke went on exchange in Belgium at Université catholique de Louvain with an opportunity to work with talented researchers from CERN. His current research interests at POLIMA lie in light-matter interactions, polaritons and inelastic electron tunnelling in nanostructures.
