Majken S. Siersbæk did her PhD (2008-2012) in molecular biology in the Mandrup lab within the field of transcriptional regulation and adipocyte differentiation. From 2014 to 2019 she worked as a postdoc in the Grøntved group in the Functional Genomics and Metabolism Research Unit. In 2019 she became a Lab Manager in the Grøntved Group and from 2021 Lab Manager in both the Grøntved and Ravnskjær research groups.
Majken managed and maintained animal colonies and experimentation combined with project administration, teaching, lab-support for students, and has hands-on experience with NGS prepping.
In the autumn of 2025 she moved on to a position as lab manager at Odense University Hospital
